Last time I will be posting this year. I have enjoyed my blogging time so far and plan to continue as long as I can.

Will be doing a few errands today. Plan on seeing a movie this afternoon and be home before dark. I do not want to be out with all the drunks. Mom and me will have a quiet evening at home, we will play some Scrabble and cards. Imagine that at midnight there will be a few fireworks and gunshots in our area. I fill sorry for the animals who wonder what in the heck we are doing.

Artie Shaw passed away. Cool guy.

Thousands are dead from the Asian Tsunami's. There are probably going to thousands more found dead and more will die from injuries or disease.

Sad, sad time. And I feel bad for complaining about a measly headache.

Jerry Orbach and Susan Sontag have died. Wonder who will be next.

I know its silly to believe that things come in threes, but I do.

My sinuses have been giving me trouble the past couple days. As has my depression. In both cases, it is not severe.

Got two Mystery science Theater 3000 movies (Eegah and Beginning of the end), two George Carlin CD's, a AC/DC CD, a Frank Sinatra CD and Luigi's mansion for my gamecube for Christmas. Nice haul. My mom liked the things I gave her, two calendars, a book on one of her favorite painters and two DVD's.

Saw the movie "The Aviator" this afternoon. It was a pretty good movie, was better then I had expected it to be. Although it was long, close to three hours, it held my attention. Cate Blanchett did a great job as Katherine Hepburn, though I am not a fan of Hepburn. Gwen Stefani should stick with her bad music. If you are going to play someone like Jean Harlow, as least make some attempt to sound like the person you are portraying. I can only imagine Ms. Harlow is rolling in her grave over the casting choice.
Merry Christmas. May you have a nice day and get at least one thing you wanted. If not, you can always plot revenge and get them back on New Years by lighting firecrackers outside their window at 3 am.

Frigid temperatures have been around for a couple days and don't seem to be leaving anytime soon.

Had to do errands last night, including getting some gas. It wasn't very pleasant getting out and about but we got everything done.

I officially hate winter. I hate the hot parts of summer and I don't care who knows. I hate the fact we don't have enough cash to replace the car. Well that's enough hate before Christmas.

Finally got my copy of Family Guy The Freakin' Sweet Collection DVD today. Thought it would never arrive. Can't wait to watch it. It has the restored version of Road to Rhode Island.

This morning was nice and clear and right now it is cooler then it was this morning and the clouds have moved in.

The car is idling rough and dies if we sit too long. We have to put it in neutral and rev the engine to keep it from dying. Will have to get it fixed when we can, don't know when that will be.

With the weather change and other things have put me in a blue mood.

Today was the last show Mike Murphy did. He retired after many years in radio. I view this with mixed feelings. Had felt for at least a year that he should just retire because the quality of his shows weren't as good it had once been. There is no one else in the Kansas City area that does anything like he does. So I will have to turn to the net for my paranormal fix. I will be grateful not hear Sean Hannity or "Dr." Laura commercials anymore. May end up tuning the radios in the house to a Topeka am station. Good bye Mike, may the UFO's come and take you to space and bring you back safely.

Congrats to Liv Tyler on the birth of her son. Her husband, Royston Langdon singer of the band Spacehog (whos Chinese Album is one of my favorite albums), and her have been married since March of 2003. Wow, Steven Tyler is now a grandpas, wonder if he's gonna spoil the kid.

Looks like we are going to have cooler weather for the rest of the week. Temperatures are going to dip down into the twenties during the night, with the daytime temps in the thirties. Nice December weather, the stuff headaches are made of.

Had some work done on the car this morning. New brakes, oil change, tire rotation, new tire, new belt and tune up. We had one tire that needed to be filled up one to three times a week so we figured it was better to just replace it then try then fix it. Breakfast out, a little shopping, bit of waiting and three hours later we were done. One of the mechanics was a guy that fixed our roof nearly three years ago. Not sure if thats a good sign or not. Could be nothing.

It was in the twenties when I woke up this morning. The high for the day was in the low forties. Was able to get some laundry done. Spent much of the day getting caught up on things, including spending some much needed time working on an afghan I started crocheting months ago. Kept putting off working on it and now I am inching ever closer to getting it done.

My Christmas shopping is done. Have only one order that I am waiting on. Will get a tree up soon.
