The weekends rain total is four inches. All of this rain is maiking it tough to do outdoor things and laundry.

Need to get the lawn mower in working condition. With all of the rain, I will be needing it soon.

The Pet Expo wasn't as good as the previous couple years and because there was a huge line to get in, we waited twenty minutes in the rain, coupled with the fact that there were just way too many people and not as many great things to see made it feel like a big let down. Doubt we will be going again.

We skipped the movie but did do some shopping and had lunch out. The rain total for yesterday was half of an inch. Think it rained at least another inch worth early thing morning. Will have the total later in the week.

Failed to mention that on the 2nd we got a inch of rain. Got another half an inch yesterday. Was thankful I got Moms laundry done early.

Spring looks like its ready to bust out all over. Grass is greening up, trees are budding and flowers are blooming or are getting ready too. Birds are happily building nests. Its a nice time of year.

Managed to get two load of laundry done this week and it looks like just in time to with more rain coming this weekend.

Will be going to the Pet Expo this weekend and maybe a movie. Have change a few things around in our schedule and will be doing groceries on Friday now instead of Thursday.

Mom took today off and we didn't do anything, but that is what she wanted. She needs to get caught up on a few things. Other then an errand or two tomorrow and Sunday being Easter, I doubt we will do much this weekend. Would like to see a movie again some day.

Have already finished three afghans this year, one was small the the other two were medium sized ones that will just fit my bed. But I wasn't doing them to create a huge one anyway. Now I am working on sofa covers for the love seat in the living room. I do need something as a side project to keep my interest up. Haven t been doing a lot of crocheting and I love to do it. Of course I can use some of the extra yarn I have to make a afghan for Project Warmth. I figure someone would appreciate the gesture and I would feel good about donating it.

Took a walk this afternoon to enjoy the day. It started out cold and cloudy and the sun bullied its way out and the day ended on a lovely note.

The Royals season begins and I can only hope we have a better year. I dont know who if anyone I will follow this year.

I am going to do some laundry today. Chance of rain later in the week.

Had a strange dream the other night. I was driving alone on a local highway when I looked over to my right and say that water had receded enough that some sandstone structures and rocks and reappeared. I pulled over and wandered over to look at what changed since the last time water receded. (There is no area anywhere I drive that has water receding on a regular basis, its a dream so it doesn't really have to make since.) As I continue walking, I enter into a cave and see all this marvelous marble. There are statues, stairs, rooms and so on all made of wonderful marble in various colors. One room I cant walking to far without having an overwhelming fear that the watger is going to come rushing back in and I will end up trapped. At some point as I wander around in the cave I see a bunch of other people and then the dream ends. I do remember taking photos inside and outside and at one point I noticed my hands were deformed.

Got some chores done, errands completed and will probably rest the afternoon away. Dont feel very well. Stomach has been queasy most of the day.

Still need to paint in Mom's room but we are going to wait until it's warmer to do it. We are considering some colors for the kitchen. The color is going to be a shade of orange. We want something a little darker and warmer then what we have in the kitchen right now.

Flowers are blooming and the snow we got Saturday was mostly dead and gone Sunday.

The weirdo weather and whatnot is playing havoc with my sinuses, add to that my spring allergies are starting to flare up.

Will go to the laundromat again this Friday. Haven't done back to back weeks in the longest time. Have to do it because of the weather. But now we are caught up and wont have to do anything until maybe next week.

We got some snow in a lovely storm. It started with rain last night. Mom had Friday off and we went to the laundromat. She had some winter clothes that needed a good washing. And then it started snowing today. We got at least an inch. And we we even ventured out for some dinner. It wasn't to bad gettting out since it was mostly slush on the roads.

We got about three quarters of an inch of rain last night. There had been a forecast of rain for several days, but we finally got some. Will put off doing laundry till later in the week.

Sunday and all of Monday had been very windy. It is now officially Spring. Flowers are blooming, grass is greening up and trees are beginning bud out if they haven't already.

We finally got the painting done today. But the room looks wonderful. Hopefully it will be a long while before we need to paint in here again.

Last night after we finished for the day, we went out for some dinner and to buy some books. Even though I was tired from all the stuff we did, I still had a nice time.

Failed to mention Natasha Richardson passed away from injuries due to a skiing accident. I liked her and she wasn't that much older then me.

We started painting the living room yesterday but had to stop. Mom had a headache and the fumes got to both of us. We have enough ventilation but for whatever reason we both got a little sick. That and a bit tired from moving stuff around.

Need to go out and get a quart of paint for a small section of the living room we forgot about. Might look at paint chips for the kitchen.

Quite warm today. Got to the lower eighties. By far the warmest day of the year.

Purchased some paint at the hardware store Saturday. We got paint for the living room and Mom's bedroom. Mom is taking off Friday and we will be painting the living room then. Will wait to paint her bedroom, but at least we have the paint for it.

Some of our daffodils have bloomed and others look like they will soon.

We are going to the Nelson today. Not sure what else we will do, if anything.

The weather has been pretty nice lately.

We got an inch of rain Monday evening. So probably cant do a load of laundry until lter in the week unless it rains again.

Saw some deer in our neighbors yard again. When Mom picked me up to run an errand last night, we saw deer in someones yard.

It is supposed to be cool for the next few days. Then it its going to get a little warmer.

Sergei has decided he doesn't like some of the food hes been eating fine for some time. We had good luck with him over the winter. He always ate well and now his old picky self is rearing its head. Almost have to coax him to eat.

I was wrong about the rain total. We got the two and a quarter inches of rain.

The time change was this weekend. It will take a while to get used to. Keep wanting to stay in bed.

Have been typing up some recipes I got out of some women's magazines. Tried a new recipe on Thursday and it is a keeper. I always tinker with recipes I get, either halving the amounts or fiddling with the spices. Have not had a failure with the recipes yet.

We got a lot of rain over night. Was surprised (and I am joking) that the dogs didn't float away with the amount of rain we got. Dont know the total yet, but I would guess we got at least an inch.

It looks like it might rain a time or too later in the week. I just hope I can get at least one load of my own laundry done this week.

Did a load of laundry for Mom yesterday. She need somethings done or else she was going to have to go commando and neither of of wants to do that.

Yesterday it got to 82 degrees. The warmest it has been so far this year. It was so odd to have it that warm. Today is going to be about ten degrees cooler. Snow is pretty much gone.

Will do a load of my laundry today and later in the week do a load for my Mom.

Had a headache yesterday. Warmer weather is coming in. The snow will be gone by Friday if not sooner.

We have snow! About four inches of it. It wasn't too bad getting out and about in it yesterday. Came close to canceling my dentist appointment because of the weather. Happy I didn't because its done. The traffic near Bartle Hall was bad. Dont know what was going on, but it was idiots galore.

It was a strange day. Though we didn't hardly get any rain the week, we did get the forecasted snow. It looks like 3-4 inches. It wasn't too bad being out in it. We managed to get every where we needed to go just fine.

I didn't need to have my gum numbed for the filling. It was superficial enough they didn't need to do it.

Decided not to go to a movie because the times didn't work with our schedule. Had lunch out and did a little shopping and then we came home.

Saw more deer yesterday.

It is going to get cold tonight and be cold tomorrow with it warming up and being spring like next week.

Need to get a load of laundry done for Mom tomorrow.

Had a couple bad weather related headaches this week. Its warm one day and cold the next.

Have a dentist appointment tomorrow. Dont have any idea if we will do anything afterwords. The fact that it is supposed to snow doesn't help.

Saw some deer in our neighbors yard yesterday. There was about 8-9 of them. I walked into my room and watched them cross the street. Something spooked them and they ran into the woods behind our neighbors houses.

Had a couple strange dreams this week. In one I was in a movie theater by myself. Went to the bathroom and when I came back the theater was full and my snacks had been thrown away. Went to the manager and complained. The dream went on for a bit and ended with me leaving without getting my money back. In another dream I was upset that someone had pruned a tree I liked. Later I was looking out and saw weird stuff in the gutters including terra cotta pieces. Then I was in the living room and noticed a neighbor had put up a strange fence that encroached on our yard. We talked to them but they didnt seem like they cared about what they had done.

For the past couple of months I have had a new schedule and it has been working out well. I am spending less time on the computer during the week and getting more done around the house.

Had a mild headache yesterday. Despite it I managed to get a load of laundry done and some cleaning done.

It is supposed to rain tomorrow and snow later in the week. Mother Nature cant make up her bloody mind.

Mom had today off. We took the dogs in to get their regular checkups and shots. After that we took the car in for an oil change. They came up with a problem with the left rear caliper and it turned out to be under warranty and was fixed for free. Once that was taken care of we paid and got some supplies and other things from Kmart. We had lunch and then came home. It was a long but its over now.

Managed to do a couple loads of laundry this week.

The weather has been all over the place. Winter is trying to stay where it is and spring is trying to push its way in.

Had planned to take the dogs to the vet yesterday, but thought the weather might be a factor. we got nothing of the snow that had been forecast. But we did some things. Had lunch out, bought some books and coule other things.

Will do a load of laundry for Mom today. Will also do a little cleaning,

We got about a half inch of rain last night. Monday we got about an eighth of an inch. Looks like we might get some more rain tomorrow. It also snowed for a bit today.

Saw the movie "Taken" yesterday. It was not a good movie at all. All that to save a spoiled brat kid.

It was another weird weather week. Cold start and a warm end. Got a load of laundry done on Friday.

Will be keeping Mom company while she does her taxes.

Have had some strange dreams. The two I remember involved a movie. I was behind the scenes as the movies were going on. One involved mechanics and a lot of running around. Thats pretty much all I remember other then both movies were rather short.

Have a dentist appointment on Saturday. Im getting tired of going. But I guess if I dont go, I'll end up with dentures.

Will do a little shopping, have lunch and maybe a movie after we are done with the appointments.

Its Groundhog day. And the stupid little rodent saw his shadow. If I seem a little hateful towards an innocent animal you may have guessed I am not happen the steelers won the Super Bowl. They basically stole it and the refs helped. The touchdown before the half was NOT a TD. I hope the refs choke on something and die.

My cold is about over but I have a headache and am vexed by menstruating too. Have had a headache every day for the past three days or so. Not sure if its due to the cold or the wacky weather. Either way it sucks ass.

The Super Bowl is this weekend. And while I like watching football, I am at the point where I really dont care about the Super Bowl anymore. I cant even justify it and say "I am watching it more for the commercials then the game", because the commercials suck as much as the game anymore. But there are places online one can view the ads and save the headache.

I have got a cold. And I know from whom I caught it, Mom. She hadn't been feeling well last week and is getting over it and as a parting shot I get it. Since we are going to the laundromat tomorrow, it will make things interesting.

Watched a bit of the inauguration yesterday. Got tired of all the talking head. Those windbags say more then they really need to say. But they wont ever shut up because they like the sound of their voices.

Our new president is going to have a heck of a time cleaning up after Bush. It will be a miracle (again) if he gets another term in office. Carter had lost of problems with having to clean up after Nixon.

Didn't do too much over the weekend. Got around to taking care of a couple things I have been putting off for awhile.

The snow didn't stay around too long. There are still some traces of it in the areas that dont get much sun.

Trash isn't getting picked up today due the holiday. The extra day gives me a little more time to get some extra stuff ready.

The dipshit President made his farewell speech on TV last night. I am so happy his punk ass is almost out of office. I will be watching the swearing in of our new President on Tuesday. Can only wonder what the ratings will be for it. Guess we will find out.

Mom decided to take today off. It was a last minute thing. Good thing she has the day off, because we have snow. The dogs haven't minded the cold weather we have been having since they love it.

Not sure what we will do today. Have to take the snow into account.

Had a dream that I was in Paris again in a hotel room that had a patio. Mom was with me. She was up walking around the room and went over to open the sliding glass door. When she opened it a fluffy cat came running in and jumped up on the bed and began rubbing on me. Mom thought it was funny and asked if we should keep it. I said something about missing Franklin and wondered how we would get the cat home through customs. Thats all I remember of the dream.

Spur of the moment we went out and saw "Gran Torino" last night. It was a really good movie and I recommend everyone see it. Although it did lag a little in the movie, the story was real good. You could see the change in the main character as the movie went along.

Finally took some things to Goodwill. Had been putting off going for a few weeks and we had a large container that was in the way and now its gone. Also did a small amount of shopping while we were out.

Ebay has slowed way down. The recession isn't helping. When will the bail out for the people of this country happen?

Had a couple strange dreams recently. One from the other night had me in the house listening to people break in. There was some strange activity prior to them trying to break in like vehicles of all sorts slowing down to look at the house. Most of the stuff took place at night but when I went to call the cops is was suddenly day time. A dream from last night took place at night. I was alone in a strange car driving around the neighborhood trying to get photos of a UFO while there was a thunderstorm going on. At one point lighting struck the car and came at me and then towards the camera. The strange thing was the car didn't die, it stopped for a second but continued to funtion normally. Thats all I remember about both.

I pre-ordered the latest MST3K set. It has two movies I have never seen and two movies I have seen and still have on VHS. Once I get the se the tapes will be trashed.

Need to do a load of laundry. The weather is due to turn a little colder in the next few days and I do not want to get backed up on laundry if I can help it.

One of the things we did over the weekend was to cancel HBO and Cinemax. Rarely watched either one, but Mom had wanted to keep them. Trying to do what we can to try the fat out of the budget.

Mom had Thursday and Friday off. We cleaned, argued and took care of some chores. Typical weekend for us, most of the time.

I would swear I heard gun fire on when the new year rang in. Wouldn't put it past a couple neighbors to do just that.

This is the first full week of the year. So far the weather has been nice. Warmer then usual but nice.

Saw the movie "Doubt" yesterday and it was very good. Like when movies end and they dont have a happy ending. Wouldn't want it all the time but its nice when you get a ending where you can make of it what you want too.

As we on our way home, stopped off at Target before heading home, we ran into some snow. Pushed to get the car fueled up, because I didn't want to have to do it today if it wasn't nice out. Today is supposed to get in the mid forties, so it might melt the snow.

Mom has a short work week, she will take Thursday and Friday off. Not sure if we will be doing anything special for New Years Eve. Probably not, but might want to plan on having a fire and playing some board games.

What a long strange trip its been in the weather department this week. And I am not kidding. We started the week with a low of around zero and a high in the teens. Then Friday has a high in the upper sixties. If that wasn't fun enough we got heavy rain storms move in over night and we got nearly an inch of rain. Speaking of rain, we got another rain storm recently complete with thunder and lightening. Fun times in December.

Will be seeing a movie this weekend. Haven t seen any movies lately, not because we didn't want to, but nothing really interested us at all. Will probably see a few more movies next year.

Mom loved her gifts. I got a nice purple knit scarf and a perfume/lotion set. The stuff smells wonderful. Will wear it sparingly, but it is wonderful stuff.

Snow and a little rain yesterday means we will be having a white Christmas this year. Mom's drive should be loads of fun.

Christmas is tomorrow. Have Moms' gifts wrapped and ready for opening. I got here a couple nice necklaces from Natures Jewelry. Really cant go wrong when I order from them.

Tomorrow will be a toned down affair. Gifts and breakfast in the morning, a fire and a light lunch for the afternoon and a nice dinner in the evening. At some point I will get a fire going. Not sure what we will do in the evening, but it doesn't matter.

Had a little more winter weather yesterday. There is nothing but a sheet of ice in the driveway. It is supposed to be windy all weekend. But the forecasts haven't been to accurate lately. Seems they are hit and miss as usual.

The Christmas tree is up, decorated and pretty. But the recession and other things have made the season a bit of a Bah Humbug time.

We have snow! And it sucks, too. The rain never came for us on Sunday night. We got a light snow storm and that was it. Guess Mother Nature wanted to wait until today to dump some snow on us. It looks nice, but Mom has to drive in it with people who seem to get amnesia about driving in snow. I always worry about when shes out there. Looks like it might take her awhile to get home tonight. Hopefully she can leave at a decent time.

It was supposed to be a little warmer yesterday and then turn colder but that didn't happen. We went to have the car looked at because I thought we had a leak, but we dont have a leak.

Looks like it might snow or rain tonight, which is always lovely. And we might get a bit more snow later in the week too.

A few deaths I have not mentioned that have happened lately..Van Johnson, Nina Foch and a couple others I am drawing a blank on.

The weather is such a roller coaster that it's hard to plan much. Will more then likely go to the laundromat this weekend and get caught up on a few things. Hate doing it, but I am behind on a few things. Its due to weather and laziness. Will just have to make sure I do laundry when I can now.

Had a brief snow storm, it didn't leave much at all. And melted a little when it got a bit warmer.

Looks like this weekend might be the last nice weather we see for a while.

It is now December and Christmas is inching ever closer.

Already have Christmas shopping done. Just need to do a little decorating and send out a few cards.
Not sure what all we will do leading up to Christmas. Because of the economy and other things I am not in too much of a festive mood. But I doubt I am the only one who feels like that.

We have been doing a bit of cleaning in a big way this weekend. Culling out a lot of things and taking them to Goodwill. Will continue to work on this sort of thing for the next couple weeks or so.

Saw the movie "Australia" on Friday. It wasn't too bad, I have seen worse moives. The scenery was wonderful.

Have been having headaches more frequently lately. Think because of the turbulent weather is a huge factor.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we will just do our normal stuff sans a turkey. Mom has Friday off, not sure what we will be doing.

Got the trash and recycling out. The recycling was picked up this morning, but the trash has yet to be picked up.

For a moment yesterday I thought I was coming down with something. But other then a headache today, I dont feel too bad.

Will probably buy something from Nature's Jewelry for Mom. Have never had this much trouble deciding what to get for her since forever.

The chiefs will more then likely find a way to lose today. As they always do.

Mom is taking another day off. Will get a load of her laundry done this afternoon and maybe do a little cleaning.

Have almost all the things we will need for Thanksgiving. Only a few more items and we will be all set. Will not be doing any baking of bread this year. And I agree with Mom that she doesn't need to do it every flipping year. She deserves to enjoy her time off. Will probably see a movie that weekend, while other people are out shopping.

Mom has her shopping for me done. I have no idea what to get her.

Didn't do much yesterday. Mom was tired and slept much of the day. We did get a new coffee pot, a small one but since it was so cheap we decided not to return it. Will need to get a larger one though. Got new cell phones, too. Nice flip phones, might donate our old ones.

The roller coaster weather continues. I will be happy if my head doesn't explode from the varying temperature changes.

Forgot to mention that it was rather foggy Saturday. It was so thick you couldn't see more then maybe a quarter mile in front of you. By mid-morning it had burned off though. I got some nice photos of it.

Have put trying to see a movie any movie on hold for the time being. Seems out luck has held too well, we usually miss the start time by a few minutes and I dont like people who come into a movie late and dont want to be one of those people.

Well we have history. America has spoken and has the first black president in its history. I guess it was worth the nearly hour long wait yesterday. Yesterday was the sixth time I have voted in a presidential race.

We got no kids on Halloween. None, not one single kid. There were no kids out walking. This is the first time I think something like this has happened. It was so strange, it was very quiet on the street and in the neighborhood.

Yesterday we had the car worked on. Oil change and the rear brakes worked on. Then we did a little shopping and had some lunch. We thought about going to a movie, but the times didn't work out. Dont know if were going to end up seeing that movie anyway.

Mom has Monday off, so tomorrow she is going to do some culling out of her clothes and Monday we will do some chores.

Today is Halloween. Halloween is my second favorite holiday, right behind Christmas. Got a couple bags of candy at the store last. Wonder how many kids we will get tonight.

Got my Mystery Science Theater 3000 20th anniversary set in limited edition tin with lobby cards and a Crow figurine in the mail yesterday. Already watched "First Spaceship On Venus", will watch the other three movies this week.

Saw the movie "Body Of Lies" this afternoon and it was pretty good. We haven't gone to many movies this year, and this seems to be a new trend. So many times we have been come out of movies wondering what the hell we were thinking. So we have been more selective about what and when we go.

Did a bit of shopping before we went. Got some straw for the doors, a new cosmetic bag for Moms new purse and a few other things.

Rented the movie "The Love Guru" last week and it was awful. Sped through 90% of it, because it was that bad.

The fall colors still seem to be a bit delayed. The past few years the leaves have been staying on the trees longer and longer. The trees leaf out late and drop the leaves later and later it seems each year. Some might blame it on the global warming myth, but I am hesitant to do so.

Might go to a movie this weekend. We have found the theater out at the Village West is a wonderful theater.

Managed to do a load of laundry today will do another on Friday and the Mom's on Sunday.

We managed to get a few things taken care of yesterday. Two pieces of furniture that have been downstairs forever we demolished and are going to over the next couple weeks or so set out for trash. A sofa that had been downstairs for awhile was also taken care of. Since it was warm enough for me to have the garage door open, I took the opportunity to mop in the basement. I still need to mop in the garage and a couple other spots downstairs, but that will have to wait.

Dont think we are going to do much this weekend. Have a few things planned but how much we will actually get done is up in the air.

We got over five inches of rain this week. Couldn't do much laundry with thay much rain, but I will one way or another do some soon.

Haven't been feeling well lately. With all of the roller coaster weather we have had, I am not surprised that I am having headaches.

Am still enjoying my iPod. Some of the free songs on iTunes aren't very good, but others are really good. In fact a song by The Republic Tigers is now one of my favorite songs. Have been really getting into the whole podcast thing too. Have several on my list. Have tried a few others with limited success though.

Getting so sick of all the political stuff on tv. Wish the Presidential race was much shorter. Like six weeks. Think there are some countries where they dont have as long of a race as we do. And it must be nice.

Had a headache over the weekend. We managed to do a few things, despite both of us feeling bad.

The leaves haven't yet really begin to change color yet. But when they do I am going to get a few pictures of the wonderful fall colors.

Well I am now forty. Feels fine so far, but this is just the beginning. Went out to dinner last night and had a decent meal. Mom's meal wasn't as good as mine and I wish she had said something.

Now that we are in October I can decorate for Halloween.

Said to note that Paul Newman passed away. I have at least one movie he is in and I have seen a few others. Great actor, cant say I am a fan, but I admit he great actor.

Today is my last day in my thirties. It wasn't until this weekend when I really thought about that slap in the face. I hope to do better in my forties then I did in my thirties, but I don't have much hope. I am laughing as I right this, honest!

Sunday mom and I saw a movie. "Ghost Town" was really good and had a few laughs. Was good to get out of our rut and see a movie on a Sunday.

Got a little bit of rain this morning. This week will be a bit more like fall. Cooler and maybe a chance or two for rain.

Will tomorrow being my birthday and all, I have a couple ideas for what I am going to do in the afternoon. Yes the dishes and cat boxes will be taken care of, but that will be the only cleaning I plan on doing. Wednesday or Thursday I might some laundry. In the afternoon I will watch a movie and take it easy. Might spend a little more time online in the morning then I usually do so I can forgo the afternoon session. Dinner will be out and I am not sure what place to eat at and if I want a drink or not. Will think about that tomorrow.

Went out to the Renaissance festival today and got over heated. Have felt sick since then. Will take a cold shower later and hope that helps. Was going to see a movie this afternoon, but after lunch just decided to come home. Both of us feel a bit sick.

Don't think I will want to go back to the Renaissance festival. For whatever reason, today proved to both of us just how much it sucks. When we limit ourselves on buying anything kinda helps suck the air out of it. On top of that, most of the acts stink. The wandering characters, like in years past, aren't wandering around. Add to that drunk fools, over-priced under done often greasy food, hordes of people just standing around and what you get is a bad time. I am not saying I am sorry for going. In the two hours or so we were out there is was nice, but I don't think I want to go again. I am not saying ever again, I am leaving it open to the chance that maybe some time I will want to go. But next time I will want to go when it's cooler and get there a bit earlier.

We didn't see the movie after all on Saturday and it wasn't for a lack of trying. Got a late start and at some point went home to wait. We left with what we thought was enough time, did a couple errands and then had lunch. When we were about half way through lunch, I checked my watch and found the movie had already started. Not sure how we had lost track of time so badly. So after lunch we just headed home.

Monday night we went out for dinner and then went to the movie. Managed to plan everything well this time. "Burn After Reading" was a pretty good movie. Had some funny bits in it. Mom would like to see it again and im not sure I want to.

We are planning on going to a movie this weekend. I really dont want to see the movie. Might do something else if Mom wants to.

We got another four and a half inches of rain Friday and Saturday. So the total for the week is seven and a quarter inches. Cant do laundry for awhile, so glad we went to the laundromat on Friday.

Not sure what if anything we are going to do this coming weekend.

Missed mentioning Jerry Reed passed away. There are a couple others who've left the Earth, but I am drawing a blank at the moment.

Got a massive amount of rain this morning. Okay two inches isn't massive, but it came rushing in in about two hours. There is water in the basement (of course), and some flooding in the area. But we might not be out of the woods yet.

Mom is planning on taking Friday off. Because of the rain and the fact that I am a little backed up on laundry, we will be going to the laundromat Friday. Don't like doing it, but I need to get caught up and this rain isn't helping at all.

There are two Hurricanes or Tropical storms ready to hit the East coast. Depending on where they hit, we might get more rain.

Had a nice finish to the Labor Day weekend. Slipped on a wet floor while trying to go do some laundry and I fell done the stairs. Think I did a complete 360 on the way down. I have bruising on my right shoulder, right hip, my ankles and my feet. Might even get a few bruises on my calf's. I am lucky I didn't do any damage. Think I kinds screwed up both my shoulders a bit. But all things considered, I am very lucky.

Both Mom and I have been having dueling headaches. I think that Gustav is pushing in something.

Labor day weekend. Mom has today off. No plans this weekend, or for today. Don't mind since there really isn't anything we are interested in doing.

Been watching the Olympics a bit. Michael Phelps is over rated and no Mark Spitz. The Chinese gymnasts look younger then 16. Beach Volleyball, baseball, BMX, softball, badminton, ping pong and a couple other events should not be in the bloody Olympics. Too damned much time has been used up showing us beach volleyball, mostly the skanky USA womens team.

The weather has been nice for August. But we might pay for it in September.

Montana may have had a stroke, seizure or something last weekend. He seems fine. But at almost nineteen years old, he is not as active as he was when he was a younger cat.

Had a dream last night that I was on a cruise ship. And on the wrong one too. The night before I dreamed of seeing several UFOs in formations. One set was closer to the house and the other set was on the right and further away. I was playing with the dogs, it was dusk and there was other stuff going on. They were in the southwestern sky. Don't remember too much of either dream.

Okay today is supposedly a lucky day and I wish I could get a lotto ticket.

The summer Olympics start today. Am sort of looking forward to watching some of them. The thing that holds me back is the fact that they are taking part in China. I wonder why the committee chose them, what next the evil part of Korea or maybe Darfor?

For some reason I have taken interest in "That 70's Show". Even though I watched most of it during its run. Now I find myself setting the DVR up to record some of the episodes. I know at some point the fascination with the show will end and I'll become attached to something else. But thats life.

Forgot to mention that we saw "Hellboy 2" on Saturday. It was a pretty good movie, I had seen and liked the first one. The ending opened up the possibility of there being a third movie. After we saw the movie we had dinner out and then I went to Best Buy. I am now the proud owner of an Ipod nano and Robot Chicken Star Wars. I have been playing around and tweaking the nano, which I love. Got the purple one, which is very nice looking.

I did a load of laundry yesterday afternoon and did a small amount of mowing. Did both because I thought it was going to rain. Sure looked like it was going to rain at any point, but once again we get nothing. Might have to do the load of laundry over again.

Friday the Olympics start and I am not sure how much of them I am going to watch. Will watch some of the opening ceremony and take it from there.

The heat wave broke and we have a bit of a cool wave. It's been nice sleeping at night without sweating the whole time despite having two fans going, one of which is in the window bringing slightly cooler air in.

My Mom's birthday was yesterday. We went out to eat at Red Lobster. Not the most exciting fair but that's what she wanted. Had a lovely meal, despite it being rather hot. Was going to make her cake, but with it being so hot (95+ weather for the past few days) I didn't want to heat up the house more then necessary.

It is supposed to get cooler later in the week. Don't normally like to complain to much about the summer weather, but sometimes I just cant resist. We have had a couple periods this summer with hotter then normal temperatures and thankfully they haven't lasted long. Otherwise it has been a pleasant summer so far.

Its now August, Moms birthday is Monday. We vote on Tuesday and the heat is going last a few days. Guess that even though it starts getting better temperature wise in August, Summer decided to play the ace up the sleeve. If we play our cards right, Mom and I should do fine. We have a few things planned this weekend, mostly things for Saturday. Any and all cleaning done on Sunday will need to be done early. It wont be easy but we should come out of this fine. We have had hot weather like this before, its not fun but we can survive it.

Well I am glad I was able to do some mowing and laundry yesterday. From last night until earlier this morning, we got two inches of rain. Mom and I had gone out to dinner as well as do a little shopping, and as we were coming home the rain started.

The temperature Monday was supposed to be 98 but was twenty degrees cooler. But, this weekend is supposed to be very hot.

Was going to do some laundry and a little mowing this morning but it rained just enough before I could do anything. So will try again tomorrow. The total amount of rain was about one eighth of an inch.

Still waiting for my jury duty check. Guess as with everything, when the government is involved things take time.

We have had weather recently that seems a bit more normal for July in Kansas. Dry and hot, with occasional cooler days. Some parts of the area have had rain, but it hasn't rained in more then a week. Maybe its closer to two weeks.

Hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico hit southern Texas and parts of Mexico. I think they said it was a category two hurricane, which is a milder storm. If you can call something like that mild.

Estelle Getty passed away. Although I haven't seem much of her work, I did love her on "The Golden Girls", she was probably the best character.

Kiska's birthday is tomorrow. Its hard to believe she is going to be three years old.

Went to have the car worked on this past weekend and only got the oil change taken care of. Seems like some places have no idea what they are doing. Mom took care of getting the appointment this time and thought she was clear on what needed to be down. After we dropped the car we had breakfast and then did some shopping, when we got back the car was done. We thought it had been done a little bit too quickly. Once inside she was told that they didn't usually do the one thing we needed done on a weekend because the places they get parts from are closed. Well we would not have gone there if we had none that ahead of time. So even though we got something done that was needed, the other thing was far more important. Now we are more then likely going to postpone the other thing until some other time and maybe go elsewhere to have it fixed.

I am now off the hook for jury duty. Even though I haven't had a summons in almost four years, I am glad I don't have to do jury duty. Maybe the next time I get a summons, it'll be a nicer time of year.

Not too much going on around here lately. Its been pretty nice temperature wise and we have been getting some rain. But I know its all bound to change at some point.

Have jury duty this week. Went yesterday and waited all morning to be told that all the cases were pretty much done but that we still might be needed. So until later in the week I am still on the jury duty hook.

We have been having nice weather so far this summer. That is until yesterday. Warmest day so far this year.

We decided not to see the movies after all. Both were things that were sort of interested in, one was getting terrible reviews. Think I will wait until their air on HBO or something to view them.

I finally bought a couple of those digital to analog converter boxes. We went to two places while out yesterday and neither place had them. So I just bought them online, whole lot less hassle that way.

Have a few fireworks for this evening. There have been a few people setting stuff for the past couple of days, but not as bad as it has been in past years. But we still have a group of morons who thinks everyone wants to hear their crappy band play. Wish the cops would actually do their jobs and tell the idiots to turn it down.

The new computer we bought last week is working out great. The other computer was finally just too much of a problem and needed to be replaced.

We got three and a half inches of rain from eight pm Wednesday evening until sometime early this morning. A majority of it came last night. Not surprising, there is water in the basement and I wont be able to do laundry for awhile. Some areas got hail, though I don't think we got anything other than just rain.

Mom has today and tomorrow off. We are planning to see a couple movies, but I am not sure we will see them. Also plan on a little shopping.

George Carlin as died. He was one of my favorite comedians. Sometimes I would hate something he had said in some act and not listen to anything of his for awhile, then something would make me think of him and I would like again. That didn't happen often though.

Have been doing well with drinking less coffee. Now and again I will have a problem, but not often.

Ebay sales have been sort of slow lately. Figure the sagging economy and the fact I don't have anything really exciting to grab people. Will have to retool a few things and maybe even go through my stuff to come up with something new to sell.

The Boston Celtics won a NBA championship for the first time since I was in high school and beat the Los Angeles Clippers, i mean Lakers to do it.

Cyd Charisse has passed away. I liked a couple of movies she was in. Forgot to mention that Bo Diddley, Jim McKay and Yves Saint Laurent passed away recently.

Tim Russert passed away over the weekend. I knew who he was even though I don't tend to watch political shows. Was said he did as young as he was. But things happen for a reason we don't understand sometimes.

Well we got laundry done yesterday morning, then did shopping for supplies and groceries in the afternoon. The first time since I started reducing the amount of coffee I drink I actually felt tired in the afternoon, but I figured do the laundry and the shopping helped me feel tired.

I decided this week to reduce the amount of coffee I drink, as I already mentioned. No one told me to do it, just felt like it was time I did it. So far I feel a little better and I am sleeping a little better. But this is just the beginning of the experiment, who knows how I will feel in say a month or two.

Saw "Iron Man" this afternoon and it was really good. Was not sure I wanted to go because it has Gwenyth Paltrow in it and I dislike her much, but despite her being in it, the movie was quite good. Might even get it on DVD when it comes out later this year.

Had a sever storm warning tonight. There were reports of possible tornadoes or at least funnels. We got a heavy downpour, while it didn't last long we did get over an inch of rain and water was running down the street. Good thing we haven't had a lot of rain lately because it would have made the flash flooding worse. It took awhile for the runoff to stop, now its staying in the ditches.

We had gone out to eat, spur of the moment sort of thing. As we were in the restaurant, the TVs tuned to the local changes, showed the weather reports. I guess who cares if there is a show someone wants to watch. We can now say "I watched the weather report and a TV show broke out", yeah its stupid but who cares. I did get a couple pictures of the storm clouds.

Mowed the backyard on Saturday and glad I did with the rain we got yesterday and the chances for rain we will get. We are in another weird weather cycle. There are parts of the country dealing with flooding and then there are the severe storm warnings locally.

Over the weekend, Mom mentioned she might take Friday off. We could do a few things on Friday, including laundry, to relive the pressure from the weekend. Might even see a movie too, which we haven't done in weeks.

Sergei and his allergies are doing better. His ear had gotten bad enough we thought about going to the vet, but his ear has responded to some home remedies so we may not need to take him in at all.

It's June already. One step closer to the actual start to summer and one step closer to the heat and humidity of a Midwestern summer.

We were going to go to a movie, Mom wants the see Sex and the City so kill me now, but she's not sure if she really wants to.

Sergei is starting to have problems with his ear again. Guess it is like an allergy thing with him. But at least we know what to do for him. He doesn't mind to much having his ear messed with.

Recently Dick Martin and Sydney Pollack passed away and now Harvey Korman has left us. Too bad Laugh In isn't on some channel, was a good show and worthy of its shows being rerun. Even if it wasn't but a couple days a week and just a couple shows. There are worse things being shown then Laugh In. I liked some of Sydney Pollacks movies, haven't watched Tootsie in years but like it at the time. Harvey Korman was funny in a lot of things and not just on the Carol Burnett show.

There has been the threat a couple times this week with no results. Hoping we do get some rain today.

Mom has a dentist appointment tomorrow. After it we are going to do a little shopping, mainly for tools, and then come home. Sunday we will go to the laundromat and that's about all we are going to do this weekend.

Another storm rolled yesterday morning and we got about an inch of rain. We got a little this morning as well. Once the clouds rolled mostly away it warmed up, but it was nice most of the day.

We had lunch at Olive Garden, did a little shopping but bought nothing, dropped off some things at Good Will, had some ice cream and then came home. Because I hadn't slept well last night, I ended up taking a nap.

Don't really want to do the yard work tomorrow but it needs to be done.

We had a morning storm roll through and dump three quarters of an inch of rain. It was thundering for some time and there were lots of flashes of lighting. And I forget some day recently we did get some rain but I don't remember which day and how much we got.

This weekend we will be going out and having a nice meal, maybe a little shopping and some ice cream. Not sure if we will go to a movie, but it doesn't matter. Sunday we will do some yard work and not sure what we will do on Monday. Rain is forecast the entire the weekend and we will work around it.

So far we haven't gotten any rain. It has been forecast, but nothing yet. I really need to get my stuff together and start keeping a record of the projected forecast and actual forecast. It would be interesting to see how close or how far off they really are.

The dentist appointment Mom had for Saturday was rescheduled for the following Saturday. Some how they forgot that this weekend is Memorial day weekend. Sounds like someone was asleep at the wheel.

Did some yard work today, mowed and help with cleaning the gutters in the backyard. Was tired and didn't have a lot of energy but I got a lot done. Also got a load of laundry done.

Will not be doing a lot tomorrow, other then resting. Tomorrow I will be plotting out what I will be doing nest week.
