Couple more days and the a cold front moves in and we will have cooler temperatures. The heat has already claimed at least two deaths. Its always sad when someone dies because they neighborhood they live in is so bad that they cant leave a window open to get a bit of relief.

Couple multiple shootings in town in the past two weeks. One family died and another shooting left a child dead with another family member not looking good, while the others might survive. This is one reason why guns should be collected and melted down.

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson have died. The first two are sad, but I am not real sad a pedophile has died. No one who pays someone of is innocent.

So far I have manged okay with the heat. We went out to dinner last night and might do something the next two nights. I know we cant do this all the time with the heat. But I will take every chance to get out of the house I can get.

Got a little rain yesterday in a quick downpour. Glad I did the laundry. Looks like today may be cooler then expected.

Next week it is going to have brutal heat, complete with heat indexes in triple digits. And if it rains, it'll only had to the joy ( or misery if you prefer).

Have been struggling with depression lately. Am glad that I've had a few sales in the past few days though.

Sunday evening through Tuesday we got another three inches of rain. Will see if I cant fit in a load of laundry in Friday. Glad we went to the laundromat on Sunday.

It had been nice lately. The heat is descending on us now. Think at least for the next few days it will be toasty.

Failed to mention David Carradine died recently. Like a few of the things he was in. He left the world in an odd but still sad way. It looks like suicide, but he may have died accidentally by means of autoerotic fashion. He was in Thailand filming a movie. His family is having people look into his death.

Got another inch of rain early Thursday morning. The thunder was really intense during the storm. The wind was just howling too. At least a couple thunder claps startled the hell out of me. And once again rain water just ran down the street in a sort wild torrent. Despite the amount of rain we have gotten this week, I am tempting the hands of fate with doing a load of laundry. If it weren't for the fact I need a few clean shirts, I would probably wait.

We got two inches of rain dumped on us yesterday. I am so glad I did Mom's laundry on Monday. Lots of thunder and lightening as well as water rushing down the street. The rain screwed me up for doing any laundry of my own but It will get done sooner or later.

The weekends lately have been rather warm and the weeks cool off a bit.

We cleaned the gutters in the front this past weekend. Just in time too! We then drove up to a antique mall we had liked in the past, mainly to see if it was still around, which it is. Glad to see other people buying things. But honestly, I dont know how much longer it or other larger places like it will be able to stay around. With the economy the way it is and people's buying habits changing. I really wonder if at some point places like antique stores wont become a thing of the past. Something we wax nostalgic about.

Mom will be taking off the Thursday before the Fourth weekend (she gets Friday off already) and she will go cold turkey from smoking. She has been cutting done since Thanksgiving, but I have been saying she needed to just cut to the chase and go cold turkey all along. It will save us a few bucks every month and her health should improve because of it too. We have a few things planned that weekend to keep busy.

Have made a few sales on eBay lately. I think April I didn't sell a thing, so I am happy to have a few sales. Will be trying a few new things next week.

Kiska is starting to shed her coat, while Sergei's coat is still secure as ever. The sooner they both shed their coat the better it will be for them. It'll make summer easier for both of them.

The check engine light is back on. Have a feeling I know what we need to do. But it will have to wait.

Weather has been nice lately. The other shoe is bound to drop and we will have oppressive heat soon. I just know it, but maybe I will be wrong.
