We got the car worked on. An oil change, tune up and a sensor fixed. We got done at a good time, went to the Post Office then Kmart and when we got out of Kmart, the car wouldn't start. Since we across the street from Tires Plus, Mom called and we waited. Finally I tried again and the car started. Drove back to Tires Plus and we thought we might need to have the catalytic converter replace, but it turned out to be a sensor connected to it was all that need to be fixed and now the car runs better. But it ate up most of the day. After we finished there, we went to the hardware store and then got groceries. There was a heavy down pour as we were going to the hardware store that was so bad I could barely see the road. We got about four inches of rain out of the storm.

Mom is going to be taking Friday off. We will be doing a couple things, but not sure what.

Had a migraine the other day and it took a while to get rid of it.

Still thinking about what happened last week. Like how can you sell a house where a murder took place and what will happen with the kids.

Still have no idea if the husband of the neighbor is still alive or not. May never know. Have yet to see a obit for the victim in the paper.

Managed to get a load of laundry and a little cleaning done this past week.

Tragedy struck our neighborhood last night. A neighbor, one I wasnt familiar with and had only seen outside a few times, was murdered. Her spouse attempted to kill himself. It happened around midnight. The fire truck and ambulance sirens woke me up and I tend to be a hard sleeper once I get to sleep. Was unable to get to get much sleep last night, it was a mixture of curiousness and sadness. The police were there for some time and at some point some family members of the victim arrived and I could here them crying. The victims three kids were in the house at the time.

Saturday when Mom and me were leaving to do errands, I remember being struck by how sad the oldest child was. She must have seen a lot in her thus far short life. I feel sorry for her and her twin siblings. What the future must hold for them.

In the nearly thirty years we have lived in this neighborhood, there has never been anything close to anything like this happen. The area is a sort of rural part of suburbia, where at one time I had said " you know this is a dull area when the biggest thing to draw the streets attention is when someones shed catching on fire and we all walk down to gawk at the fire".

Even though I had a tough headache, I went out and planted the flowers we got last night and also mowed. The flowers look nice and the front yard looks better.

Talked with a couple neighbors and found our previous mail carrier had passed away. I had always liked her.

My allergies are really bothering me. My eyes feel like they have grit in them. I like spring but I hate the tree pollen.
